Evan Bieber is a Brooklyn-based indie artist whose songwriting turns everyday moments into something cinematic. Raised in Connecticut and now living in New York, Evan blends the warmth of singer-songwriter intimacy with the polish of indie pop and the emotional edge of alternative rock. His sound has drawn comparisons to artists like Turnover, Runnner, and The 1975, with lyrics that feel personal, poetic, and painfully relatable.
Evan’s work captures themes of loneliness, heartbreak, and quiet reflection. His 2022 EP Reckless and 2023 full-length Maybe I Thought About You Once showcased a softer, guitar-driven sound that emphasized vulnerability and emotional depth.
With his latest single “Market Kids” (out August 8), Evan enters a bold new chapter. Co-written with producer Rob Chiarappa, the track draws inspiration from the bright, pop-forward sheen of The 1975 and the scrappy optimism of Bruce Springsteen. It’s based on Evan’s real-life experience moving to NYC with his partner, broke and sleeping on a mattress on the floor, yet somehow feeling rich with love. The sound is brighter, more playful, and rooted in that rare joy of laughing through the chaos.
When he’s not making music, he works as a special education teacher and formerly hosted the radio show and podcast PopRocks, where he interviewed emerging artists. His music has been featured in New Scene Magazine, Canvas Rebel, and A&R Factory, with radio play on Spinning Thoughts, Sword Radio, GaySA Radio, and WCLH 90.7FM. He’s performed across NYC at iconic venues including Pianos, Arlene’s Grocery, and Berlin Under A.
Whether writing about heartbreak or hope, Evan’s music always comes from a real place. It’s about being honest, being a little messy, and being totally yourself.
